We are first Spirit, then we are human
      beings who have a soul.
We must
learn to dialog in our native tongue.  The language of Spirit.
I'm not necessarily speaking about the practice of speaking in
tongues.  Dialogue can be a silent exchange with no words.  The
language of Spirit is non-denominational, and it doesn't have a thing to
do with race, creed, color, intelligence, beauty or political
persuasion.  It has to do with Spirit speaking to spirit. We must learn to listen to our spirit and also to "The
      Spirit."
If someone calls you
by the wrong name you may not pay them any attention.  They would
have to go out of their way to let you know that they really meant to speak
to you.  What if they were calling you by your true name but for some
reason you just didn't know your true name?  They have something
important to tell you.  They are trying to get the message to
you.  But because you don't know who you really are, you don't
listen.  Same thing with Spirit.  Our Source will create
situations and chance meetings to try to get us to listen.  Usually,
we avoid these attempts.  We may view them as obstacles, set-backs or
interferences.  We may view these attempts with disdain because the
message is coming from someone whom we don't feel is worthy of our
attention.  Great wisdom can come from the mouth of a child when the
      words are from Spirit.
Fortunately
for us Spirit is patient.  When we are finally ready and willing to
hear, Spirit will still be speaking to us.  Have you heard stories of
people who were close to death, speak about what they finally realized
were the important things of life?  Let's not let time and
opportunity pass us by before we grab hold to the truth of the matter.
To
nurture our spirit we need to learn to listen, trust and believe that we
are worthy of the inner guidance that Spirit tries to give us.  Think
back on times when that "inner voice" told you to do something a
particular way, go a particular direction, stay home, go out, or whatever
the instruction was.  You chose to ignore that voice and you suffered
some type of difficulty because of it.  That was Spirit trying to
guide and help you.  I think most of us have heard that voice
before.  We know what it "sounds" like.  It is there
      to help us.  Pay attention.
Everything
you need, you already have.  You just don't know it yet.
Everything, talent, desire, guidance and assistance.  Great spiritual
teachers have told us so, each in their own way.  This is not a new
concept.  It is as old as the Ages.  Problems arise when we
neglect to recognize who and what we are.  We find ourselves doing
harm both to ourselves and to others.  We become depressed and
ill.  We live lives that are far beneath that which we were created
to live.  When you recognize who and what you are, you can have what
you want and need.  You can begin to help others receive what they
want and need by your example and by your deeds.  What you need is
already there, it's just waiting for you to recognize it and say
      "Hello."
